FAQ

We recommend 48 hours unless otherwise instructed

Queensland state law allows 35% combined film and glass together on the front two doors and 20% combined film and glass together on anything behind the driver’s door

Yes, you can. However, if the police catch you with darker than legal VTL, you risk fines and being made to remove the film. It could also void your car insurance policy

A standard quote or installation includes all windows except for the front windscreen or any sunroofs, panoramic roofs. Top windscreen banners can be added for an additional cost, please ask when requesting a quote

VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission. The percentage tells you how much light penetrates the film. E.g 35% film allows 35% of the light to penetrate, and blocks 65% of the light

Window Tint is recommended for many reasons. Queensland has some of the highest Skin Cancer rates worldwide. Most premium window tint offers over 99% UV A and UV B protection. This is lasting protection for yourself and your passengers. Window Tint will protect your cars or homes interior from UV damage or fading. It also provides heat reduction which makes the environment much more comfortable

Your new tint requires up to 30 days to fully cure. During this time your windows may appear hazy, or streaky, there may also be small water pockets caused by the moisture that is remaining between the film and the glass. Do not squeegee or poke these pockets. The water pockets, or streaky appearance will disappear as the remaining moisture dissipates and your new tint cures completely

The best way to clean your tinted windows is by using a good quality microfiber cloth and water. No ammonia-based products like Windex. Abrasive cleaning agents and bristle brushes will scratch the film causing it to become hazy or blotchy

Many new cars now come with dyed privacy glass. However, this is only in the rear section of the vehicle. You may notice that the front windows are clear on newer cars, and the back is much darker. Privacy glass does not provide the same UV protection or heat reduction qualities like window film does therefor we recommend tinting over the privacy glass. There are clear window films available that won’t further darken the glass and still provide all the benefits

We recommend bringing your car in the cleanest condition possible, including the exterior and interior. We will still tint it if it’s not clean, but it will be harder for us to provide you with a quality finish. If you have pets that regularly ride in the car, please eliminate as much hair as possible. If the vehicle is loaded up, it is best to remove these items to have clear access and don’t need to touch your belongings. Also, where possible, please remove car seats before coming in if you own a ute or a sedan

Yes. At the time of booking, please advise us of any existing film that needs removing. There is extra time and materials required to remove the old tint and we need to allow enough time in your booking to complete the work

Most makes and models are generally complete within a few hours. However, there are many factors that will increase the time to complete your tinting, such a removing previous tint
